Description

A handsome and refined strap crafted from genuine large-scaled alligator skin, the Senator watch strap from German firm Rios1931 features moderate, square-shaped padding, for a low profile look that remains supple and comfortable on the wrist.
 

The strap is complemented by a tonal stitch along its outside edge, and comes complete with two matching leather keepers and a stainless steel buckle in a choice of three metallic hues.

Saddler’s Seam

In contrast to machine sewing, the handstitched or saddler's seam uses only a single thread, which is drawn manually from one side to the other with two needles alternately. This creates a particularly even stitch pattern. It takes approximately 40 minutes to produce such a seam, which gives a watch strap a longer service life compared to machine stitching. An exact hand seam requires all the skill of a master leather artisan and thus represents a piece of the finest craftsmanship.

Splash Resistant

This watch strap is splash-resistant, meaning it can handle hand washing, light rain, and accidental water exposure. However, like all leather watch straps, it should not be worn while swimming, showering, or during extended water activities.
