Leather Watch Straps for Bulova Watches

Black and brown leather are popular choices for Bulova dress watches, particularly if you want to keep a similar appearance to the original strap. For something different, lighter brown shades, blue or contrasting stitching can give your watch a more casual look.

For chronographs such as the Bulova Lunar Pilot, perforated leather is another option. The Morellato BRAHMS has a flat profile, perforated detailing and contrasting stitching, which works particularly well with the watch's sporty design.

Leather can also suit some Marine Star models for everyday wear, although a water-resistant strap may be more practical if you regularly wear your watch in the water.

Finding the Right Replacement Strap for Your Bulova

Before ordering, check your Bulova's lug width, which is the distance between the inside edges of the lugs where the strap attaches. This is measured in millimetres and isn't the same as the watch's case diameter.

For example, the 43.5mm Bulova Lunar Pilot 96K111 has a 20mm lug width, while the Marine Star 96B272 has a 22mm lug width. However, some Bulova watches have shaped or model-specific attachments, so the correct width alone doesn't guarantee that a replacement will fit.

It's also worth checking the strap length to make sure it fits your wrist comfortably. If you're planning to reuse your original Bulova buckle or clasp, you'll need to check the width and fitting at that end too.
