Shop Orange Watch Straps by Material
The material can make as much difference as the colour itself, so think about how the watch is worn as well as the look you want.
-
Orange Rubber and Dive Straps: Orange has a long association with dive and sports watches, and rubber is a natural match for this style. It is comfortable, easy to clean and a practical choice for active use. The collection includes different textures and profiles, along with fitted options designed for selected watch cases. Always check the individual product specification if water resistance or model compatibility is important.
-
Orange Nylon Straps: Our orange nylon straps include classic one-piece designs, ZULU straps, smooth seatbelt nylon and Erika’s Originals MN straps. Nylon is lightweight and flexible, making it a popular choice for dive, field, military and sports watches. Selected straps are available with polished, brushed or black hardware, giving you another way to match the strap to the watch case.
-
Orange Leather Watch Straps: For something less sporty, choose an orange leather watch strap. The collection includes calfskin, genuine alligator, alligator embossed leather, crocodile, goat and carbon embossed designs. Leather also gives you a broader choice of orange tones, including deeper and more muted shades that can work well with chronographs, dress watches and watches with orange details on the dial, bezel or hands.
Choosing an Orange Watch Strap
Start by measuring the gap between the inside edges of the watch lugs in millimetres. This is the strap width you need. The size may also be stamped on the underside of your existing strap.
If you are replacing an existing strap, check the buckle end width too. Many straps taper, so this measurement matters if you want to reuse the original buckle or clasp. Strap length and thickness are also worth checking, particularly if you already have a strap that fits your wrist well.
Then consider the material and shade. Bright orange rubber gives a watch a stronger sports look, while nylon is lightweight and practical. Orange leather can be more understated, particularly in darker or more muted tones. If your watch already has orange details, matching the strap closely to the dial, bezel or hands can help tie the overall look together. We also stock
yellow watch straps and
red watch straps if you are looking for another standout colour.
Use the collection filters to narrow the options by material, width, brand, buckle option and
quick release straps. If you are still unsure which replacement orange watch strap will fit, contact us and we will be happy to help.
Orange Watch Strap FAQs
How do I know what size orange watch strap I need?
Measure the gap between the inside edges of the watch lugs in millimetres. This is the watch end width you need. The size may also be stamped on the underside of your current strap. If you plan to reuse the original buckle or clasp, check the buckle end width as well, as many straps taper.
What colour watch dial works best with an orange strap?
Orange works particularly well with black, white, blue and grey dials, but there is no fixed rule. If your watch already has orange on the seconds hand, bezel or dial markings, choosing a similar shade can tie the strap in with the rest of the watch.
How do I clean an orange watch strap?
Cleaning depends on the material. Rubber and many nylon straps can usually be wiped with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dried thoroughly. Leather needs more careful treatment and should not normally be soaked. Always follow the care instructions for the individual strap, especially for genuine alligator, crocodile or other specialist hides.
Why is orange associated with dive watches?
Orange has been used in dive watch design for decades. DOXA introduced the SUB 300 with an orange dial in 1967 after testing colours for underwater visibility, while OMEGA has used orange prominently throughout the Planet Ocean collection since its launch in 2005. The colour has since become strongly linked with dive and sports watches.
Will an orange watch strap fade or discolour over time?
It can, depending on the material and how the strap is worn. Regular exposure to sunlight, sweat, dirt, oils and chemicals can gradually affect colour. Leather may also darken or develop a patina with age. Cleaning the strap correctly and following the manufacturer’s care advice can help keep the colour looking its best for longer.
