Each watch strap has been treated using a technique called vulcanisation which was developed by Charles Goodyear at the beginning of the 19th century. These vulcanised rubber watch straps are resistant to chemical and mechanical influences that might normally compromise a rubber watch strap that hasn't gone through this process.

The Hirsch range proudly presents their 100% Vegan collection of watch straps designed to be animal-free, sustainable and durable utilizing a variety of natural materials, such as Caoutchouc (Natural Rubber), and Recycled Marine Plastic.

This watch strap is splash-resistant, meaning it can handle hand washing, light rain, and accidental water exposure. However, like all leather watch straps, it should not be worn while swimming, showering, or during extended water activities.
