A fresh interpretation of the popular Hirsch Arne sailing strap, this new model does away with its leather upper layer and replaces it with a high-quality composite made from around 10% reclaimed ocean plastics, and recycled PET sourced from landfill comprising the remaining 90%. Embossed with a canvas-style texture, the Arne continues its oceanfaring theming while having more substantial reverence for the environment in term of its material choices.


The underside is the same premium caoutchouc rubber with signature ventilated structure as the original Arne strap, giving it the same supple and durable characteristics that made it such a firm favourite and ensuring that the band as a whole is 100% animal free and vegan-friendly.

100% Waterproof

This watch strap is 100% waterproof which gives you peace of mind when it comes to exposing your watch and strap to water. It is thanks to years of research and development that Hirsch are able to back a 100% waterproof label for their waterproof watch straps.

Despite this, if you want to prolong the life of your watch strap, we do recommend that you rinse your watch strap after exposing it to seawater and pool water. This strap is resistant to chemicals and salt but it is good practice to rinse the strap in clean water once you are done. We also recommend that you allow the strap to dry completely before putting it back on your wrist.

SEAQUAL® Upcycled Fabric

This watch strap is partly constructed from a high tech SEAQUAL® recycled ocean plastic material. Manufactured to resemble a sailcloth effect but with more resilience and flexibility.

SEAQUAL® YARN is crafted from marine plastic recovered through the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE — a global effort to clean oceans, rivers, and coastlines. Lightweight, durable, and eco-conscious, this high-performance material is put to good use when used for watch straps.

Performance Lining

The lining on this particular watch strap is Hirsch's award winning Performance Lining. Made entirely from premium caoutchouc rubber, this ventilated lining is an in-house innovation that has revolutionised the watch strap wearing experience.

Thanks to this innovation, Hirsch are able to pair this industry leading natural rubber lining with any number of top side materials. Every model in the Performance range has this ventilated rubber design meaning you can switch up the style of your watch without compromising on comfort.

Quick-Release Spring Bars

This Hirsch watch strap comes with integrated quick-release spring bars. This allows the strap to be changed quickly and easily without the need for tools. The high quality spring bars are integrated in to the band during the manufacturing process and quality tested to ensure a safe and secure attachment to your watch.

If you would prefer not to have these integrated spring bars, they can be removed and replaced with traditional spring bars or whatever means your watch uses to attach to the strap.

HCB Buckle

This strap comes with a Hirsch HCB buckle. Made from stainless steel, the HCB is found on Hirsch watch straps that demand a bit more robustness from a buckle.

With a classic design and subtle Hirsch branding, the HCB is a heavy duty buckle which comes in polished silver, brushed, black and gold.

If you would prefer to mount a different buckle to your new strap then this HCB buckle and be easily removed with a quality spring bar tool. This buckle has drilled holes allowing you to easily access the spring bar to remove it from the strap.

Optional Clasp

As with many other Hirsch watch straps, this model can be paired with a deployant clasp to convert the watch strap from a pin buckle strap to a deployant clasp watch strap.

The benefits of pairing this watch strap with a clasp include:

  • Improved comfort.
  • More secure.
  • Easier to put on and take off.
  • Prolongs the life of the watch strap.

When you upgrade the buckle to a clasp from within the product page selection, our warehouse team will pair up the correct clasp for your strap width and clasp selection. The team will also part fit the clasp for you.

Strap Care

This particular Hirsch watch strap is made to be 100% waterproof. This means that taking care of the strap is easier than a leather option thanks to the resilient materials that it is constructed from and the treatments it received during the manufacturing process.

We recommend that you clean your watch strap from time to time, especially if it is being worn everyday and throughout exercise. To do this, we recommend that you remove the strap from your watch (although not essential) and clean the all areas of the strap with warm water and a small amount of soap.

You can completely submerge this watch strap in water without fear that the strap might get damaged. It is entirely waterproof which makes frequent cleaning nice and easy for you.
