Rios1931 have come up with a genius solution for fixed bar watches. They call it the Clip system and it essentially allows the watch strap end to loop over the fixed bar and almost clip itself on to the watch. What allows this to happen is a looped bit of metal concealed within the strap in such a way that it looks no different to any other strap.
The beauty of the Clip system is you don't need any tools to fit the strap to your fixed bar watch. It can be a little bit of a fiddle to get it on but once on, it is really secure. We have began our journey in to the Clip system with the Arizona which is a really clean calf watch strap with tonal stitching in a good range of colours and sizes.
Before the Clip system, you could be expected to fit one watch strap to a fixed bar watch then wear that strap until the end of its useable life. With the Clip system, you can actually switch between a rotation of these straps and Nato straps for example.
Now you're armed with the ability to switch watch straps on your fixed bar watch, it is important to have a selection of colours to pair up with. The Rios1931 Arizona comes in a choice of eight colours which are Black, Mocha, Cognac, Forest Green, Ocean Blue, Stone Grey, Burgundy or White.
Once fitted, the Arizona is a comfortable lightly padded watch strap which comes with a tasteful polished buckle. You can opt for a Gold or Rose Gold finish buckle if that suits your watch better. You can get the Arizona in lug widths from 10mm up to 20mm of which most have a taper.
Despite the Clip system being design specifically for watches with a fixed bar, the Arizona can be fitted to a watch with spring bars. The Arizona strap by Rios1931 is also available without the Clip system which will be in stock with us in the near future. Coming in well under £30.00, the Arizona represent great value for money.
We bang on about Grey watch straps a lot but look at that...
