48mm & 55mm Limited Edition Watches

The IWC Big Pilot is without doubt one of the most recognised watches that the international watch company produces. The current watch draws its inspiration from a design dating back to the 1940's. With SIHH 2016 looming, attendees will get to see the latest limited edition of the Big Pilot in the flesh at their stand which will also include other 2016 novelties.

The Big Pilot Heritage will come in 48mm (limited to 1,000 pieces) and 55mm (limited to 100 pieces). The 55mm is sized as a homage to the original watch used by Pilots around the time of WWII. Whilst the 48mm version is still a homage to that military tool in appearance, it adapts a smaller, updated case size to suit the current era of watch wearers that aren't flying bombers around.

Both the 48mm and 55mm watches have a case made from Titanium, black dials, attractive blue hands, brown Pilot calfskin strap with attached Titanium pin buckle. Besides the case size, there are some other differences such as the movement. Both watches have in house movements, the 55mm with the IWC Calibre: 98300 (46 h power reserve) and the 48mm with the IWC Calibre: 59215 (192 h power reserve).
