Stuff we like: Sarpaneva Korona K0 Northen Lights

March 04, 2015 2 min read

Check out this awesome watch produced by Finish watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva. In collaboration with our good friend Black Badger Composites which can only mean added awesomeness. Due to be showcased at Baselworld 2015, this watch will be very desirable and I am sure that their stand will be pretty crowded during the show.

The Korona K0 Northen Lights comes in three variations, Green Dial steel case, Blue Dial steel case and Violet Dial with a DLC case. An 18k moon-phase adds a touch of class to a well rounded watch which is incredibly legible both in daylight and at night.

The powerful lume breaks through the skeletonized dial to provide night time telling and as it was developed with glow specialist, Black Badger, you know it is going to pack punch.

The unique, aesthetically pleasing case is handcrafted at Sarpaneva's HQ in Helsinki which is something we admire. It would have been all too easy to outsource the case manufacture but keeping it in house has scored them extra kudos with us.

This promises to be a special release for both Sarpaneva and Black Badger. We know James (Black Badger) is especially excited about this.
