Stuff we like: Linde Werdelin OKTOPUS MOON CARBON

November 28, 2014 1 min read

For me, the guys and gals at Linde Werdelin have absolutely smashed it with this watch. I have always admired the brand and find myself drooling all over their stand at Baselworld each year so it is only right that this watch appeals to me also.

What I find special about this release is the way the carbon fibre looks on the case. The Geometric look is one I am a big fan of, although miles away from the carbon finish on their Speedolite's. The combination of an attractive dark carbon case and predominately Rose Gold Skeleton dial with in house Moon Phase function really works. Add a Brown Rubber strap in to the mix and it all works so well together.

What seems quite a novel solid 18k Rose Gold Crown with engraved octopus motif is actually testament to the attention to detail that Linde Wedelin pay to the design of their timepieces. As well as looking great, the watches are also very functional, this piece being 300m water resistant will hold its own underwater. Coming in at CHF19,000 exc VAT (around £12,500) it does not come cheap but what you do get is an attractive watch with a really thought through design and also a very innovative case finish that I think we could see copied by other brands. Limited to 59 pieces so be quick.
