Whether you love or hate Football, you cannot deny that the World Cup is one of the most amazing sporting events held in the modern day. The competition creates a buzz the world over as all eyes are on the host Country. This time around the host nation is the spiritual home of Football, Brazil. They may not have invented the game but they have made a great contribution towards what it is today. Brazil will be looking to win their 6th World Cup title.

As well as the focus being on Football, there is a massive amount of sponsorship every time this competition is held. This time around, Hublot will be the official timekeepers. They have produced two very complicated Sport watches which are packed full of features based on the Hublot BIG BANG. Available in Gold or Ceramic and available in a limited run of 100 in Gold and 200 in Ceramic. Both watches make use of the 'HUB1260 UNICO' movement which boasts a chronograph timer specifically for refereeing a football match. However, on the pitch the referees will be sporting digital watches which will alert the referee if a goal has been scored with thanks to goal line technology.

Hublot have also come up with another watch which they have Tweet'd a photo of. It is minimalist with a pretty funky strap. I actually quite like this one. Hublot didn't stop there though. The boards that the 4th referee holds up to indicate the amount of extra time or the numbers of the players being substituted is aptly designed like the Big Bang watch case which has become synonymous of the Hublot brand.

Everything considered, this World Cup has the making of being one of the closest to date. Hopefully it is full of world class performances from all of the players. We definitely have a case of World Cup fever.
