Mr Porter's HOW TO: FOLD A POCKET SQUARE

June 26, 2014 1 min read

Mr Porter is a hive of incredibly insightful journal entries as well a massive range of the sharpest clothes and accessories available. They even have a few decent watches. One of their recent Journal entries is how to fold a pocket square and is produced in association with Drake's. On the short clip they demonstrate just how to fold a pocket square for every occasion. We really enjoyed this video and also learnt a thing or two so thought we would share it with you.

The pocket square is to a well-dressed man what Mr Eric Clapton's guitar solo is to "Layla" - a soulful flourish that not everyone can pull off. Adding another element to an outfit brings into play questions about the colour, fabric and style that must be answered if you want to get it right. In this film, the latest episode in MR PORTER's How To series, Mr Michael Hill, managing director of London tie maker Drake's and a man of unerring good taste, demonstrates four ways to fold a pocket square. He also offers some advice about how to pick a square to complement the rest of your outfit, and reveals the secrets behind the perfect pocket puff.
